"The Basement is the premiere underground venue on the punk scene. Hosting the hottest bands, its allure is only increased by the secretive nature of its location. No one really knows where The Basement is, though most assume it is somewhere below the suburban sprawl in the Mall District.
After one of your friends missed work and stopped answering their phone, you stopped by their apartment on Caster Street to check in on them. They weren't there and nobody has seen them in days, but you found a set of 'zines in their apartment dedicated to The Basement.
You will use a set of three small magazines, all set in the game world, to find clues, identify suspects, and (hopefully) unravel the mystery of The Basement as you go looking for your missing friend.
NOTE: this is a horror game with themes of disappearance, murder, and mutilation. While most of the violence happens ""off-screen"", these themes are central to the game's plot."

"Chester, England, 1890.
The new Bishop of Chester has discovered that, according to diocesan records, the church of St Hilda in Thorston has apparently been without a dedicated vicar for some time! It's not entirely clear whether the local clergy were aware of this and avoided mentioning it in case they had to 'stand in' for services, but it's about time a new one was appointed. After all, the good people of Thorston must be in desperate need of spiritual support after all this time without it... right?
The investigators take on the role of a group of Anglican priests, including Thorston's new vicar and his wife. As they attempt to breathe life into the parish, delve into the disturbing silence that has gripped the town, and try to uncover the fate of their missing predecessor, they find that their very survival depends on unravelling a web of ancient secrets and lies that cling to Thorston like ivy to its crumbling walls.
